In 1971, Mitsubishi Corporation
was the prime force behind a
new independent company
established for the futures
hedging of base and precious
metals. Affiliates in Japan,
the USA, and the UK formed
a triple alliance with a single
goal.  In the following years,
each individual company
adopted the characteristics
which best suited their
particular markets and
exchanges – but all remained
true to the traditions of long-
term development, excellence
in service, and a business
philosophy based  on trust.

In recognition of the importance
of the U.S. market, and as the
commitment to diversify
increased, there was a real
need to establish  a U.S.
company. In November 1990,
Triland USA Inc.
was established.
